Last Saturday we went to see the Prairie Home Companion show in Ann Arbor, in Hill Auditorium. We used to watch this in grad school days, when it was cheap and only broadcast in Minnesota. Now it’s a multimedia enterprise, but still a surprisingly good show.
Rules and practices for getting Chinese visas have gotten much more restrictive. Hopefully things will change post-Olympics, but not guarantee. Here’s a good article reviewing what seems to be the state of affairs.
