“Biggest comeback since Lazarus”
Last year, my wife and I watched the Tour de France highlights in the evening, watching Lance Armstrong’s last ride. It’s a fascinating event—every day, a small group of riders take off, gaining many minutes on the main group (the pelleton), which almost always catches them right before the finish. This year has been interesting, too, with no clear favorites. It seemed the Floyd Landis was on his way to winning, and then he had a disastrous day in which he lost about 10 minutes to the leader. Then an amazing day where he bolted ahead of everyone and made all but 30 seconds of it back up. Read all about it on Martin Dugard’s weblog. (link courtesy of Q Daily News).
