Sadly, this is an Urban Legend in the making. It comes from a satirical “news” story at bbspot.com and is being passed around credulously from blog to blog as if it were not a joke, thanks to it being referenced at hackerz.org blog. Still, I hate waiting at the walk lights, and if I spend 30 seconds trying to get the sequence right, the light probably will change, and I will have felt I have a wee bit of control in this chaotic world.
