Kitchen progress

I’ve filled in the hole, and am waiting for it to dry. Next step will be cutting a board to replace the horizontal piece that was cut out. I’ll have to add a piece to it, because the original was 12” wide and the replacement piece I bought, while labeled as being 12” wide is a “nominal” 12”, also known as “11 inches.” But the piece of wood is long enough that that won’t be a problem.
