China Reconstructs

I took some pictures of the renovated park that follows the old Yuan Dynasty city wall and moat that form part of my regular running route. If you look back in time, there are pictures during the reconstruction that took place last Spring. It’s a real delight to see how well the project turned out.
The pictures are here. and they include two pictures of the construction site across from our apartment as lagniappe.
Meanwhile, I’m working on finishing up a chapter I owe Jamie Campbell. I’ve put my life together here in record time, thanks to experience and caching of critical objects. This time I have the VPN (virtual private network) working to UIUC, which proved critical in updating the Second Wind website and doing a few other things that require more of a telepresence than I could arrange otherwise.
